Practice Guide

This document lays out the medical profession’s values and the principles. It helps doctors determine specific duties and the reasons for those duties. It also provides principles and provides a basis for new policy development.

Policies

CPSO policies outline specific guidance on issues and are grounded in the values, principles and duties of medical professionalism articulated in the Practice Guide. They also reflect relevant legal requirements found in legislation, regulation and by-laws.

Professionalism & Practice Programs

The CPSO has partnered with medical schools across Ontario to develop modules on key professionalism topics. These modules include PowerPoint presentations, and case studies ground in real life issues and trends seen by the CPSO.
